Only...if he has a glimpse of u Dad...

Dad......
My Father made my childhood the best gift of my life. Any incidence in my daily life, that disheartens me gets totally transformed into a smiling one through the picturesque memories that he has implanted in my soul, of my childhood. Here I speak out with pride - My Dad is the first man of my life.

I will not deny the fact that I am not a perfect girl. M y hair doesn't stay at its place always . I am at times the most clumsiest person on earth and many - a - times I do have a broken heart. I often end up fighting with my friends and Mummy; and there are days when nothing at all goes right. Despite all these - He always treats me as his Princess.

Any man can be a Father, truly it takes a lot for him to be your DAD. He is more than 100 teachers in life. He is the man; who makes you feel his little woman and he is the same man then who lets you walk down the aisle with your man. A father who never told you how to live but made you watch him.

He is the man who cuddled you when the world scared you. He took my hand and made me take my first step. He is the first man in life to wipe off my tears and he is the same man who treated my Mom as his Queen. He is a best friend to my Mom and me. He wrapped me in his arms and pampered me and kissed me on my forehead to make me feel special.

I have seen him make tea for my mom and also help her in kitchen in early mornings and evenings. I have seen him stay calm no matter whatever our circumstances were. He has been my Angel forever.

While teaching me riding cycle and running behind me when i perfected my art of cycling, he made me feel that I can conquer anything on earth. Racing on bikes has been the best thing with him. He undoubtedly plays the perfect role of a Father to me, a husband to my Mom and the best son to my Grand parents.

After I had an almost crashed heart, I turned back to analyze what went wrong I realize he was not a bit like my Father.

Concern is the biggest asset but freedom that Dad gave me and he shares with Mom was missing.
When me and many other girls like me, has the perfect Father, and see him as the perfect partner to Mom...asks for similar qualities in the man who walks in my life.....After seeing him all my life standing by my Mom and my Grand parents like a bridge of love..is all I expect in my man.

If I wish for a man, who can cook me like Dad in the middle of the night and who would love watching Harry Potter with me whenever I get bored...and who would love watching Noddy over a scoop a ice cream....Where do I ask for more...?If I wish him to be the best man and the best friend of my life and always hold my hand come what may...like Dad had been to Mom...He walks with me when Dad leaves my hand walking down the Aisle....where am I negotiating in life...!!
I would love it if he would treat me as his Queen and pamper me with his warm hugs. A man, the comfort of whose arms can actually make you feel the most secured person on earth especially the one after your Father...who will take care of you and be with you in good and bad times.

A man, whose smile can make you forget all the worries, whose eyes can only be the reflection of his love for you and make the second half of your life the most beautiful dream ever. A man, whose presence in your life can make me the strongest lady on earth. A man who could be like your Daddy but he will be your soul mate and company for lifetime.

If I wish to see my Daddy's qualities in a man, what wrong do I ask for. If my man's entry in my life is destined late, why is it that people want me to just get along with anybody and not wait for my perfect man. Why cannot I get the same man for whom I would gladly give up the entire world for, he would be a son to my Father and me, a daughter to his Father. A girl doesn't ask for much...but all she needs and truly deeply wishes is to have a man who has the charm of her Father. Age is just a number. The biggest fancy of a girl is to share the dance floor with the 2 most important men of her life and walking along with both of them on her either sides.

Polka Dots ……….

There has always been a close knit connection of women with polka dotted dresses. From a child to an elderly lady, almost every one wears has polka dotted clothes of various colors and design in their closet. Since years we have heard many tales regarding the coming of Polka Dots in fashion. The oldest story that was heard was Eastern European Immigrants, who came to America spread the culture of their lively Polka Music ad Dance. Later it was said that Walt Disney brought this in fashion to create a statement for his cartoon character – Minnie Mouse. What so ever the reason of invasion, the word Polka dot appeared in New York Times for the first time in the year 1866.

The craze of Polka dotted clothes was at its peak in 1950’s, where from the movie stars to the housewives and small children had their closet filled with polka dotted clothes. Use of polka dots somehow enhanced brightness, optimism and fun in one’s nature. The craze gradually faded but was again back in the 70’s. Most of the designers drew their inspiration from the past decades and put forward a whacky trend in fashion. Thus polka dots became the soul of Retro fashion.

Polka Dots do conjure up specific pictures in the mind and are especially reminiscent of 1950's fashion, and of course that memorable song 'Itsy Bitsy Teenie Weenie Yellow Polk Dot Bikini' but Polka Dots have been around much longer than that, and although they drift in and out of the forefront of fashion to a greater or lesser extent they are always visible in one form or another.

New trends were coming into existence and the old trends were also being polished and transformed according to the standards of the new time. Some of the fashion styles which were launched during the 60's are still in vogue today. This article will point out these fashion trends which have withstood 50 years. As we all know that the hippy culture came into being in 1960's, it brought with it many trends such as head scarves and headbands. Head scarves are what we now call bandannas.

Mini skirts were very popular among the young girls of this period. These skirts were knee length or a little above the knees. New brands and designers were emerging and they were constantly trying to bring a change in every little or big fashion trend of the past. Experiments were done on many different fabrics to create miniskirts. Prints such as polka dot and stripes were immensely popular during this age; most miniskirts had these patterns and prints. Even today, such prints and patterns are in fashion.

Pleated skirts with pleats on both the back and the front sides of the skirts were popular among the women and girls of all ages. Today, this trend is again emerging among young girls. As mentioned earlier, prints and patterns were given a lot of importance so apart from stripes and polka dots, floral prints were also highly in trend. However, polka dots were the most famous among all, during the time.
One of the most important and popular fashion trends of the 1960's includes the bikinis. These bikinis were thought to be very bold by some of the people but they still became very popular and the favorite among women of those times. The trend of Polka Dot Bikini was so famous during this age that many popular swimsuit designers and brands offered these.

Polka dotted clothes are attractive. They make a woman look bodylicious. It’s also a fact that polka dots do not suit every body. Thin and tall girls look smart in polka dotted dresses but comparatively a heavy built woman may not look good. Polka dotted sarees are also very popular in all age group especially with middle aged women in India and abroad. Eye catchy combinations like: white and red, black and red, green and black, purple and green are most popular ones. Polka dots are one thing that has been there since ages and is always in fashion. No matter what every one likes to wear some or the other combination of clothes be it skirts, spring – summer dresses, sarees, ties, shirts or even undergarment. It never goes from fashion no matter what new trends follow they have their own space and importance and at the same time they are classy.

First date........

First date is very special for every girl......................

The Nervousness……the anxiousness….and the feeling …….that she has she has no clothes………..and all the dresses in her wardrobe don’t suit her …..Especially for the day…..Every thing makes it a stressful that she has to go shopping.
Going around from shop to shop…..and trying out nearly fifty outfits…..and still it doesn’t workout for her…and that’s the time she realizes……that she just can’t choose for the day and she needs her best friend then and there…..

There goes a call to her….asking her to join immediately……..no matter what…..from whichever part of the world and whatever work she was into…it has to be left as it is for her......and she has to join on this important venture called Shopping..!! She will keep calling her best friend every 2 minutes to get an update for her whereabouts…till she reaches the destined shopping zone….and when she reaches….not even a hug or hello....but straight look saying get into action as you are late…….and now she has to help her friend take the most important decision of going to some boutique and choose dress for the occasion…..to which…..She won’t be even allowed to be a part of….Phew..

Now begins the real dress trial. Even if either of them is hungry or thirsty…doing anything else apart from choosing the right dress would just be a Crime….!!. She will be in the trial room....trying more than half the shop’s collection…and it becomes the duty of the Shopkeeper/ salesman to convince her best friend on his most cherished collection, which she passes into the Trial room….and she by then is already confused to the power of infinity.
Somehow….both the ladies land up on an almost similar opinion on some outfit and then…the tired salesman…..becomes completely enthusiastic….to convince them that…that is the best suited outfit for the occasion…. Now when she goes for billing on her purchase….she realizes….that she doesn’t have any matching shoes ….which leads them to the second round of the battle…
Somehow they manage to find the appropriate pair and then while returning back home her best friend just halts at a store….saying…” I think these accessories would be a perfect match to your outfit”…….with almost watery eyes, she rushes to her best friend and gives her a tight hug in the middle of the shopping zone..saying” you are my besstttttttttt frienddd…”and then they rush towards home and her finishing sentence to her best friend would be “ now you have to help me to get ready..Rush ..”!!!!

A Cup of coffee for a Boss or friend….

Does a cup of coffee bring you a step close to your boss…in making him your friend...??
Have you ever tried to be a friend to your stressed out or strict or devilish or sweetest boss..??

Though it has been a prevalent practice of bringing coffee during work hours for your boss… or meeting him for a coffee at any coffee shop or club in evening…But how many of you have really thought of meeting your boss in person to know him better especially as a friend…only a handful of us. In daily scenario of a hustled and bustled work culture, dominancy, moving ahead, getting promotion and getting privileges is what one looks for. Being in a competitive zone, every one nowadays wants to pull down the other and win the race by hook or by crook. Amongst all of them, the ones that stand close and next to the bosses are the Secretaries….

Since sometime, it has been observed that secretaries bring coffee for their bosses. However, when we tried to find out we realized, that no one has any idea how this culture came into practice. But can we just term this as - TREND...!
Trend that suddenly came into practice and to which there no justified beginning. It just started and being followed everywhere like a rule. Be it the sweetest of the boss or the strictest, every secretary is expected to bring coffee for them.

Another question that arises over here is - doesn't a task like bringing coffee is devaluation of skill's and other eligible qualities goes unnoticed...??
Bringing coffee is however a personal errand...but we also know that over cup of coffee...bonding generally becomes stronger. It is a fact that the work culture between a boss and secretary is strong one. None of his staff would understand him as best as her...but is it the coffee....? It’s a very common thing when we hear a secretary having an affair with her boss or a secretary getting married to her boss. This could have been a little unusual if we heard..that the secretary is her boss’s best friend…!!

Work culture has no connection with a cup of coffee. Why does a boss desires his secretary to bring him coffee.. Though we have seen in movies like – The devil wears Prada…that the second secretary gets coffee for her boss, where she is expected to know her value in the company. Is it that the male bosses have different expectation over the female bosses or it’s just that they consider their secretaries some educated maids? Or is it that every one junior to the boss is considered as their servant…? No answers and questions are many.

But the most important question is - What makes you bring a cup of coffee for him daily...... is it an instruction you are bound to follow...or do you really wish to de - stress him and ease out his tensions......does it really help you to be his friend and vice versa....?
Or is it just a cup of coffee.....and you wanna be just a secretary......!!..??
